A day of design for the home
Would you like to meet the world’s most famous kitchen designer by special invitation to his own home?
What about an introduction to renowned interior designer, Simon Cavelle of the Society of British Interior Design (SBID)? Here at KBB, your wish is our command. We have organised a very special event exclusively for our readers offering VIP access to the people who shape and influence design today.
Our eminent hosts will greet you with coffee and pastries to start this special day. Then, take your seats for the first seminar of the event conducted in person by Mark Wilkinson. Here you’ll discover the key to creative design for both home and garden. Next, prepare to be whisked off on a grand tour of Brook House, Mark’s own beautiful 15th Century house (shown here), where every inch of the interior betrays his signature style. Marvel at the eloquence of stone and woodcarvings, the warm yet stylish décor and, of course, the mastery intertwined into every door, cabinet and objets d’art of the truly bespoke rooms. You’ll then take a stroll in the landscaped gardens set in 60 acres of rolling Wiltshire countryside taking in pretty terraces and the charming lake – which, by the by, has a Dragon’s cave in its centre.
Lunch is served after your idyllic stroll – a feast that will set you up perfectly for the second seminar of the day, where Simon Cavelle, owner of Mayfair-based Scarib Design and Vice President of The Society of British Interior Design will divulge the secrets of interior design.
The following Q&A session will satisfy any unanswered question, while arming all with information and advice from the best in the business.
